Hi all my partner has just purchased a 300zx and is finding it hard to see at night. We have been to halfords to look at better bulbs but have been told they don't have the "H3C" bulbs (I've never heard of them) is the bulb type right? And does anyone have any suggestions for better headlights

Thanks in advance

Mike

H3c is the correct oe bulb, for HID purposes you need H3 although you can get an H3c HID bulb and here is a seller with some, you'll notice they're more money and harder to come by if you search more.

I've had both type bulbs fitted and i've not noticed a difference....

You need to fit an HID kit Mike, H3, 55w, 4300k or 5000k, simple job.

Have a look on ebay, something on these lines

Welcome btw.

I'v also been looking at something similar, the price in your link seems very low though. Can you vouch for these exact ones?

Not for the exact ones no, you pay your money and take a chance with any seller, the price has dropped over the years.

I've had no real problem with these 'cheap' kits over the years, they're at a price where you can buy the odd spare or two as well for the shelf just in case.

Andy is right ive bought more expensive kits that have failed after a few months so what ever kit you buy get a couple of em so you have spares.

As phutumsch says!

I got the cheaper ones that was two years ago. Can't go wrong with the price!

Give your light's optics a good clean. This is the method I used when I installed an HID kit:

It makes an amazing difference and avoids having to split the headlights. You can also clean the rear of

the projector lens using the same technique. You will need to remove the headlight units from the car.

Hi and welcome Mike.....

Welcome Mike and good advice from phutumsch.

....And yes; Phutumsch knows his stuff regarding 300zx lighting, so sound advice indeed....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
