Lakes Weekend @ Fat Lamb Inn - May 26th to 28th 2018

As discussed on the club weekends thread, please use this thread to sign up and discuss.

Saturday 26th to Monday 28th May

The proposed agenda for Sunday will be:

2-3 hour drive and stop for lunch.

1 hour drive and stop at Lakeland Museum for a couple of hours.

1.5 hour drive back to hotel.

Will update the proposed route on maps later, but the plan is to follow Tony's suggestion.

However, as Tony advises, this will depend heavily on weather, as the mountain passes may not be fun in the wet in a zed.

So we may spend more time at the museum, or take more main road routes.

Depending on what time people arrive Saturday, then we can arrange something for the afternoon/evening if there is any interest.

Depending on what time people plan to leave Monday, then we can arrange something for the morning if there is any interest.

The Fat Lamb, Crossbank, Ravenstonedale, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, CA17 4LL

Please call Paul directly on 015396 23242 to book yourselves in, the club is not handling the bookings.

There is a group deal for 9 or more rooms, but no more than 1/3 of rooms booked can be singles.

The deal includes breakfast and evening meal for both days. The evening meal is from a special menu, not quite the main menu.

£250 for 2 people for 2 nights.

£155 for single room for 2 nights.

There are 12 rooms, but if we run out we can look for an additional venue close by as well.

Well, quite an advert for the reliability of our cars

Seems that the world has conspired against us in some way.

At least we can test drive the venue, location and routes, with a view to re-booking again for next year if we have a good weekend :thumbup1:

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

The answers to your questions:

It's a messaging app, simple as that. There is no social media or any of that, it's just like texting but as an internet app.

All you do is install it (search for it on the store and download), then verify your phone number usually via text and set your name.

Then you can message anyone in your contacts if they have WhatsApp, or have group conversations such as this one.

There is picture sharing etc etc.

Hope that helps you old lot [emoji14]

…..Why you cheeky whippersnapper....

Hell, I am a luddite and proud of it...

Looking good Andrew....

…...And whilst I may lament the absence of my Zed (albeit not down to its reliability issues - it's just still in the bodyshop), at least I will be able to enjoy the sunshine with the roof down, whilst still driving a 3.0 v6 twin turbo.....

Some pictures from today's meet. One of the best meets I've been to, great fun driving through the stunning countryside.

Great pics Tom, had a great day. Definitely one of the best events I've been to. Some challenging roads but all the cars just soaked up the miles effortlessly!
