Hi everyone!

I realised that every time I bought a new car, before buying it I'd look for 300zx's and inevitably end up purchasing something else, so I think the time has come to give in and get one!

Currently driving a 2001 E46 330Ci and had a whole host of modified cars before (320whp WRX, MX5 Mk1, Sierra Sapphire, the list goes on) and I'm wanting to get into the Z game now.

If anyone knows of anything around the £2.5k mark, SWB or LWB, please let me know, will travel anywhere in the UK for one (I'm based in the north of Scotland).

I know I won't get a TT for that price but maybe a not too rusty/starship mileage N/A?

Thanks for reading and hopefully I'll end up being on here for a while!

Hi Alex, it is possible to get a tatty TT for that price depending on whats for sale at the time. It should get you a good condition na though.

Welcome and good luck finding something :)

Thank you! Hopefully will find something soon! :)

Hi Alex, get some pics up of your other cars :)

Good luck, keep an ear out, put up a wanted thread, hopefully you'll find something :clover:

Wasn't sure if I was allowed to post a wanted thread without subscribing? If I am, I'll get one up tonight!

Here's some of the fleet, past and present!

Current daily driver, 2001 E46 330Ci Msport, manual. Lovely to drive but not raw enough for me!

1997 Mazda MX5 mk1. Extensively modified, proper Torsen LSD, Meister R Zeta S coilovers, straight pipe etc etc, being sold hopefully this week to put some pennies into the Z fund!

2000 Impreza UK Turbo, running around 320whp, within 24 hours of purchasing it I realised I wasn't a massive fan of AWD and quite possibly the worst handling car I've ever owned. Looked great but drove horrifically, and returned sub-5mpg around the city!

My partner drives a brushed gold wrapped 350Z GT, but will need to find out if she wants pictures of it posted or not! Visually not my cup of tea but the way it drives put me back down the course of a 300zx, I think I described it as "like a fat MX5, with some actual power." (but in a good way!)

Unfortunately not many pics here of my 2 projects, a 91 Sierra Sapphire that's currently in a lockup waiting to be built for stage rally when time and money allow, and I still have my first car, a 1991 VW Polo Saloon. Absolutely gutless, but significantly rare now and massive sentimental value even if they're not worth a great deal these days!

Hi! I'd be more buying on condition than whether it was TT or N/A, I'm looking for something clean to daily that'll be fun on B roads and turn a few heads. The 222bhp of the N/A is close enough to my 330Ci that I don't expect to really notice the 6 missing bhp and I've heard that even the N/A has a little more power to give!

Sure just please don't buy it with the intent of increasing horsepower. Other than the standard intake exhaust tune, it is incredibly hard to pull power out of them and it would be best to buy a TT in the first place. If you're happy with an NA where it is at and daily then sure, they are easier to work on, break less and can sound louder/throatier with an exhaust.

Hi, I wouldn't be aiming for silly numbers like 300bhp or so, but a usable 240-245 at the fly wouldn't be far out of the realms of possibility would it? If I could match the 0-60 of my beemer, I'd be very happy! (bmw claim 6.something, real world test show 5.9s)

Welcome to the club Alex and good luck with your search.

Thank you! Hoping I can get into a Z soon and see what all the fuss is about! Been one of my favourite looking cars for a long time now.

Welcome to the club. You will not be disappointed fantastic to drive.

Just to be clear Tom.......its NOT my orange/black track car that is coming up for sale.

Oh, that makes sense, I thought that was a low price for that beauty. I may have put a bid in if it was for sale.

Glad to hear you're keeping it Pete :)

It's actually about 200 yards down from the crossroads for Nairn/Auldearn/Cawdor/Ferness, a couple miles out of Nairn, if you know the area!

Its no beauty really.... but it is a very hard driven car.
