Been offered a swap on my exhaust its an na exhaust for my tt

The one I have is a 3 inch mongoose and the one I've been offered is a 3 inch as well . We are only swapping from the cat back . Is there something I'm missing ? Is it that easy?

 

I have to post him mine and he is going me his ( opposite ends of the country)

 

Do you guys think they fit?

It's that easy as long as they are both lwb/swb

Having a bit of a problem shipping my exhaust at the moment. Paisley freight picked it and then returned it a few days later saying it was to wide to ship.

 

who do you guys use for shipping exhausts ?

Where are you measuring the 3"?? is that pipe diameter on both sides??

That's it Pete, 3 inch width all the way to flange. most systems are 2.5 inch all the way i believe

Now I'm confused. I thought we were measuring the diameter of the whole, rather than thickness of the surrounding metal....

To clarify...the exhaust gases flow through a 2.5 inch wide tunnel....?
