Hi, I'm new Z owner and new here, not my car though :) I'm based in Spalding. Where is the closest specialised garage to sort a few major issues, I know there is one in Nottingham, but maybe there's one closer?

Welcome to the club.

U say a few major issues :scared:

Maybe some of the members on here can help.

No harm in asking.

I have a pretty bad power steering pump leak and rattle. I don't know if the drive belt was ever changed or when. Would also like to know if there are other issues with it as it is smoky under heavy beating [emoji2] but i see many gtr r35 do the same thing so not panicking about it really. But i think turbos and etc could be professionally inspected for a piece of mind but drives silky smooth really. Then it can go for a full respray

Go to Lee Dent mate. Even if you've got to trailer the car there it's worth it as it's in the best hands. & welcome!
Where is he located please?

Also have this if anyone wants it? It's in my bedroom so ...... I'd rather not have it there :D

well, I will try selling it first, but realistically I just want it gone. I doubt local recycling centre would take it so I don't know, I'll just wait and see what happens

If you want to sell it you could become a subscribed member and put a for sale thread up Mindus.

Welcome to the Club Mindus, I trailered my Z from Ireland to bring it to Powerzed, Jimmer has been around here 12+ years with no negative feedback, highly recommended. I also would have no hesitation in bringing my car to Lee Dent if LA Auto's as again, there's never been a bad word said about his work also:thumbup1:

Both guys are friendly, approachable and a fair price for what you get, which is Peace of Mind.

Thank you and others for advice. I'm trying to figure out the date ot could possibly happen as I do not have bottomless pockets I'm afraid [emoji16] might have to sell my other classic car to fund the total repairs of my Z TT which I don't want to do and want to keep both but will see how it goes

Hi and welcome, Mindus.....!

And as said above, we have two highly recommended traders who might help you with your ZX woes. Jimmer in the South (Bristol) and Lee Dent in the north (Shrewsbury) - so take your pick...

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hi Mindus, I had a power steering pump problem & got a good one & changed it myself.

I'm no mechanic but you do not really need to be a z specialist to change it!

I also had to change the high pressure hose after & again I did it myself!

There are some very technical aspects with the z & having a zed specialist on board is invaluable!

Good luck
