I know some people at a previous meet were asking how to remove these mouldings, so this is how to remove them whilst dismantling as little as possible.

Here is the location of the 5 screws needed to remove. The centre three bolts are covered by the plastic trim:

Two of them have a conveniently placed hump:

And the last one you have to drill in the general area, half way in the gap:

The screws have a washer with diameter 1cm so a hole bigger than that would be best, you probably don't want to drop then in the cavity as you will have a rattle forever more...

That should give you access to all the screws for the weatherstrip clip :)

 

Note: The outer ends will prevent you from sliding them out as they retain a clip, so unscrewing them is the best way to go.

I have done those many times by simply drilling a hole through the plastic and it reveals the screw head, once the trim has been swapped over fill the gap with some silicon sealant, saves dismantling the glass from the steel section.

Yes that's what I was describing here, where to drill. It must be a pain if you drop the screw though O.o
