Hey all,

At last I have my engine up and running after my mis-threaded spark plug scare :)

 

I've invested in an ECUTalk connector cable and have for the first time, a working set of diagnostics for my Zed.

 

In the attached photo, can anyone lend their expertise on the gauge readouts...are they okay?

 

Just where do you start when checking the engine's performance?

I would lower the TPS voltage slightly down to 0.44v and some investigation is required into the AAC % as I think 52% when warm on idle is too high.

I think you have an air leak looking st that AAC

The plenum has been off a couple of times.....

 

You think that it's drawing air somewhere?

What is your idle RPM with the yellow connector disconnected from the idle control valve?

Absolutely no idea, I'll check that tomorrow night.

I've now adjusted idle to 650 RPM with AAC disconnected and approx. 750 rpm connected.

 

I still have the high? reading of about 50 on the AAC gauge.

 

What kind of air leaks am I looking for, are there any common offenders when you have had the plenum off?

I know this is contrary to data, but what AAC reading do you get if you raise the base idle from the 650 to say 750-775?.

I would be interested to see the change, if any.

A good idle reading for AAC is 15-20.

 

You need to adjust the tps and the base idle then disconnect the battery for a half hour or so to clear the self learn.
