I'm just after people's opinions on the rear of the blue car. It's one of the things I've remained unsure on. Initially, I was quite set on changing them to 99spec style light but Most bypassers locally seem to like the back lights on this better than the more traditional ones. So now I'm just not sure.

What do people think

I wonder what these cars would look like with OEM rims? Making the rear rims, dished in. Anyone good with doing a photo chop on that?

This one is quite unique as it’s a Strosek kit with a TwinZ diffuser grafted in.

Unique because it's a photoshop..... :p

I'm still planning on getting a set of these made up at some point.

A very crude impression I did on MS Paint about 5 or 6 years ago. There are companies about who will machine the face off, CNC machine a bolt pattern to fit a 1 or 2 piece barrel.

That looks well! But what I was meaning is, the wheels still look completely standard, but with the rears dished/pushed in. Not a split rim look.

Something like this is what I was trying to get at on the 300zx rear rims dished in.

Might be a real one soon Si :whistling:

concave is probably the right word. The U.K OEM wheels have slight concave on rears as they run larger tyres etc.

Does that mean at some point you will be selling your lovely LMs?

Unlikely! More chance of buying another Z to put them on!

Yeah it's Subitle on UK Z cars but one of the first things that makes you know it's a real UK car, then you have the head light wash, the larger number plate number section. Then there are some other things that you know UK car from the rest. The speedo is another

But back to the wheels, I would like to see standard wheel in about 17" and 18" with concave....think that would look amazing. Just my opinion....

So I know UK and Jap rear wheels are different but does any other country have the UK set up of rear wheels?

US and Canada had wider rears on all its domestic TT models. It was just Japanese models and all NA models that came with the same width wheels front and rear.

UK spec are identical to Euro from 90-94 with the exception of the speedo and driver orientation. When I think of UK spec, I think of Euro spec.

and headlights.

And probably rear fog light orientation since one side had a blank in it!

Yes you are right - fog light is on same side as driver for UK and Euro specs. Thinking about it a bit more, the clock

position is altered (to be closer to the driver) and the binnacle functions are mirrored as is the indicator stalk.

Yeah but that comes under the fact that it's LHD anyway. Same with mirror glass too, the concave and convex glass would be on opposite sides.

along with windscreen wipers.

...and scuttle panels!

Pretty sure that's it!

Gary, is it worth putting up a "Sticky" thread for all the difference between Standard UK models agency other countries?
