I'm just after people's opinions on the rear of the blue car. It's one of the things I've remained unsure on. Initially, I was quite set on changing them to 99spec style light but Most bypassers locally seem to like the back lights on this better than the more traditional ones. So now I'm just not sure.

What do people think

If it was my car, Lee, I'd make a set of 99 Spec replicas and tint the lower chambers. The car's lairy enough to get away from stock lights, but I'm not a fan of round taillights on these cars at the best of times.

Tint the lower chambers what colour? Or just darken them a little.? TBH, I've got loads of sets of lights, might even have some I did already. The problem is what Jeff and funky mentioned above, the bits the lights would bolt to have been cut out. So I'd possibly have to weld bits in.

hope this makes your decision easier mate. I didn't know mine had been chopped was a bit gutted when I realised after I took them out.

Thanks mate,

So in short, you used the 2 end bolts that were still there then used some sealant along the bottom?

Food for thought:

Thanks Andrew,

I was just looking at some old photos of Mac1's, PaulG and a couple of other wide arch cars. I'm thinking I might try and make some lights

yes mate just used 2 end bolts either end. I haven't sealed it in yet as I need to remove to do another wee job 1st but I will be gonna seal it up..

Not usually a fan of the light conversion, but I think it suits the Strosek kit and your car in particular quite well and is better than every other aftermarket light suggestion in this thread.

Top ones for me Lee - the after-burner effect.....

.....I am not a fan of the mixed colours of the Fiat Coupe set-up; but concur that it could work, if the lenses were all tinted the same (or swapped for clear versions). Someone must have made after-market clear lenses for the Fiat....?

Richard:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Top for me mate. The bottom pair look very dated, they'd look good on a fiat coupe still but not a modded 300.

If possible I would just stay OEM, or get OEM with the orange indicator in clear/white style. Same as what Andrew posted.

One thing to be aware of, to fit those rear panels and lights the light apertures have to be cut away and depending on how good this was done ( or not ) you may have trouble returning to normal lights without replacing be it in sections the rear panel.

I was perusing the CPZ website yesterday (a PITA on my mobile for some reason) and found a repair panel to fix any cutouts that might have been made to fix your current light fitting. I've no idea if it's any good but might be worth you looking at if you are thinking about returning back to a stock look light fitting.

Thanks mate... but I think I'll stick with the panel or if I go back, get a piece welded in rather than buying the full rear
