Hi guys,

I'm at this stage where I would like to install a small sub and amp in the boot can any one tell me where I can buy a Subwoofer box made for the 300zx that fits in the rear boot on the passenger side as I can't find any one that sells them in the UK. Thank You

it fits neatly against the spare wheel well. They were made specifically of for the 300zx by JL and I have never seen another one since I bought this from JOELYP years ago. Hopefully it sounds as good as it looks! :punk:

Might be worth considering under seat options. I fitted one under a seat of my other car and have been more than impressed with it

When I first read the thread , I thought of the storage compartments behind the seats, the unit I suggested dimensions are 11"X8" and 3" high, was hoping for a fit there, remove lid on storage area and put a protective grate over sub in this area. Then I thought of area right next to interior hatch either side. A protrusion there even if it was close to surface mount would be like 3" in. There are other ones from Crutchfield that are in stock,,if they had wireless remote, well then "Bob's your uncle" ( emglish slang, I think)

PS: need to remember, I do not currently have one (car) so my references are based upon pic's, reading, etc.

There got to be one company in the UK that sells a subwoofer box made for the boot of the 300zx, surely?

Why? You can't even get windscreens off the shelf for these cars anymore, why would you think that someone would invest time and money into producing a sub box for a car that they'd likely only sell a few of a year?

There's only one company I know that is dedicated to producing production volume (low) sub box systems for the Z32 as a focus business and that's Maniacal Motorsports out of Phoenix. They do supply Z1 and CZP I believe.

Hi mate, I have just the thing. Lee is uninstalling a sub, amp, wiring and two boxes from my swb this week before collecting. They fit in the corners and will be up for sale by the weekend (hopefully). I will try and get some images up for you as soon as I can. Maybe there are some in my garage (on this forum).

Wow! I didn't know that, thanks for your reply I have heard of Z1 and CZP I'll actually bought a load of stuff off CZP over a year ago expensive for postage and import tax but when I really want something doesn't matter where it's from I have to buy it to keep me happy

The're totally different. Didn't you say you wanted one for a shortie?

I thought so too...but my mistake.

...actually, reading back over...you do want it for a 2+0?
