Or infact any big brake conversion

For those of you that have made the change to Brembos or other big brake conversions, how did you find the following was effected?

1) Pedal modulation (so how much pedal travel from very light braking to 100% brakes)

2) abs engagement under heavy braking (kicks in earlier or later)

Any feedback would be appreciated

Oh, since I can't edit, how different did you find in it comparison to stock brakes

I've had 3 sets of big front brakes so far and the only difference I've noticed is that the actual braking effort is better than the OEM setup.

My current set (Evo 8 Brembos, Evo 10 350mm discs) has a nice feel to it and is equally at home with gentle braking or full-on anchors away. No ABS issues to report so far either. :thumbup1:

Can concur in my own experience of Brembo big caliper and disc upgrade from a Skyline R33 the pedal was fine, no abs issues either, I also fitted bigger brake upgrades such as AP and K Sport to customers car`s and again no issues.

Same here, I have been running EVO 8 brembos for the last coupe of years on road and track and not had any balance or ABS issues, only positives!

I think I posted up a load of calculations on here relating to the BMC (brake master cylinder) and 6 piston Brembo's. Most people I know that run them reckon the braking effort is reduced resulting in more effective braking distances. I know of guys running the 8 piston AMG, 6 piston SRT8's plus Porsche 17-18Z Brembo's and all report better stopping power without locking up their ABS:thumbup1:

I'll see if I can find the research and post it up.

Hmmm, just me then.

I now have Evo X Brembo fronts (not sorted out the conversion brackets for the rear yet) with 370Z sized DBA5000 2 piece discs and Ebc Bluestuff NDX PADS. Bite and power are immense, but it currently feels like the pedal travel between 5% brakes and 100% brakes is between 5-10mm. Heel and toe would result in me head butting the windscreen.

I know I have a problem with my rear calipers that I need to investigate (pretty sure I have a couple of sticking pistons), but I was curious about others experience. Knowing that the BMC of the Z 3mm bigger than what's fitted to the Evo X, I was expecting modulation to remain unchanged.

More investigation required

When you match up the Brembo rears you get a very similar brake bias (69:31) to that of the R34 GTR (70:30)there's a write up on Alpha Omega in Australia.

I found I was locking up at the front far too easily, hence why I'm now switching the rear brakes to a more balance ratio. Changing my BMC also seemed to help.

What did you change your BMC to Stephen?
