So this happened at Preston supercar meet this morning, he accelerated off the roundabout which kicked the back end out. He then tried to correct it but he hit the back end on a street lamp which spun him 360 degrees! What a mess...

I completely agree Si, a few go abit crazy on the way out (mainly the Audi's believe it or not) and it was only a matter of time this happened.

Over heard him speaking to the police after saying something must have gone wrong on the car...

Oops. Can happen to us all, rarely are people as talented as they believe. However with a car loaded with traction and safety devices doing this requires some stupidity. It's not like it was some widow maker Viper it was an R8, not exactly reknowned fir being a handful.

i just hate people like that, he must have the mentality of a child some1 should take all his toys of him

More money than sense and with the benefit of Youtube, the "oh! something went wrong with the car" excuse won't wash with the insurers, not least Audi. So showboating for a couple of people. ooh! look i can go around roundabouts, ends with no car and no insurance claim.

The drift boys often do this after Goodwood breakfast clubs, but at least they know how to control their cars.

Oh dear how embarrassing!

You would be so embarrassed wouldn't you? Its morons like this that get events banned!

something gone wrong with the car officer......................yep the nut behind the steering wheel......one of the most forgiving vehicles on the roads and he manages to do that......if he is looking for sympathy then you find it between Ship and Syphallis in teh dictionary ...none here at all

Always amazes me that so many of those in a position to buy these high end performance cars seemingly take no driver handling courses to familiarise and maximise the enjoyment the cars offer.

Then the day they want to showboat as opposed to being normally intimidated by the performance is the day it catches them out.....amused by the scene of the boy band looking at the captured footage and I assume the owner on his own trying to pan out his excuse on the mobile.

By the way I think that's a horrible colour choice for R8...
