Has anyone changed the starter relay inhibitor on their car? Either UK or JDM?

I have read the link below from the TT.net site, and I cannot see the relay in the passenger side wing. I then checked the drivers side and my car doesn't have the small black canister mentioned in the how to guide, or as far as I can see this blue relay. Any chance being a U.K. car the relay is placed else where? Or even deleted?

Behind the splash guard on the drivers wheel arch, basically the same pic as the TT.net, but of course their cars are left hand drive, hence they mention drivers side.

Do you even have one Howard? As a factory manual car, according the the UK FSM you don't. I've added the relevant pages

below. The starter relay (which is shown as "Relay Inhibitor" on the packaging) is used to prevent an Auto car from starting

unless the selector lever is in "N" or "P".

She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

.....I'll add to that, if you're purchasing via US sources; USDM cars have a relay inhibitor also on manual cars, the clutch needs to be depressed in order for the starter to engage, UK and JDM manual vehicles do not.

Thanks for this Andrew, looks like this relay only exists on Auto. Time to put all the arch liners back on :blushing:
