So this is in my garage for a week to give it a deep clean and polish. Nice curves and door setup just a pity the rotary engine is so temperamental.

 

have you seen how long you have to rev the engine for before you switch it off?? I had one in red aswell nice car but cost a lot to run.

Very sore on petrol and oil and I think you have to rev the engine to 3k before you switch it of. It belongs to my son in law so we will see how it goes Trev.

I believe that was only early ones and only if you did t run it up to temperature before switching off. However having had the displeasure of dealing with one myself yeah they're a pain. The fuel and oil consumption for the power is disgraceful. Is that the 230hp version or the little one?

Its the smaller one Stephen 190 bhp I think it is but still very lively.

There was an RX-8 on ebay last week that had a 5.7 Chevy V8 in it. It even had a whole in the bonnent for the super charger to poke through. It was all mechanically working, just needed a few things like speedo hooking up. £1200 he wanted and you got a spare donor car with that too. I was seriously temped... those looks with a massive V8...

Sounds good but I would settle with a V6 hidden under the bonnet.
