My 300 has always ticked over at about 950rpm so I'm looking at slowing it down a little ,is it in or out to slow it down ?

Also do I have to turn the car off then on again for it to re- adjust

You need to warm it up first then unplug the connection and set it to iirc 600rpm, upon replugging it will pop up to 750rpm. You should check the throttle position sensor, timing and for boost leaks first. Mine sits about 850/900rpm, but I know my base timing is wrong for idle as such due to the neutral switch buisness with the conversion.

I can't remember, you do it the engine running anyway so you will hear. You can turn it quite a bit before it goes mad.
