It's been over a month now, but we have a new car in the household.....

 

....I liked our old Freelander 2, but Julia thought it was a bit too big for our needs. She has always preferred the Evoque so, at the end of Feb, I happened to see this nice coupe SD4 Pure Tech Auto for sale in our nearest Land Rover dealers - and promptly secured a good deal on it!

 

After taking it on holiday last week, I am pretty impressed with our purchase. More to the point, Julia is extremely happy with her new toy......!! Plus I get to go on a Land Rover off road driving experience...:wink:

Nice color too, i saw a white one the other day and thought those wheel arch plastics killed the lines, is there an actual purpose to them?

I really liked the colour too - best choice for it, I think! Not sure why on the plastic arches though, possibly to avoid scratches to a vulnerable section of paint?? It does seem that all the latest Land Rovers have them now....

It's so that Julia can take the green lane route home and not worry about scratching the paint on the wing when articulating over boulders on a steep incline, in 10ft of muddy water. [emoji106]
