Well yes folks, you read this right, I am thinking about selling my Z; they say nothing good ever lasts forever...and I never thought I would be writing this but, I am seriously thinking about it.

The cause? easy: Want to buy a Audi R8 4.2 FSI, now this is a hard tough desicion and before I think take this step I need to get some points straight..first thing I thought about was; is it really worth selling

a clean stunning Z with only 80.000Kms certified by Nissan dealer that barely hits the streets once every 4 months? kept clean detalied always treated like a lil baby in a Temple for; a Audi r8 4.2 FSI with

approximately 90.000 KMS or more from year 2008 or 2009 for a price of 48.000 to 53.000€ ??

 

That is where my big second doubts come from;obviously Audi is better faster than the Z..but taking this from a start, I like to hear from you al other aspects taken into consideration regarding getting rid of

a 300ZX in the conditions I have my car. Value..sentimentally? what would you do in my case? I mean even if I get to sell the Z for about 18.000 -20.000€ (I´ve seen some on autoscout24 for that price and even higher in worst conditions than mine)

I would still be paying an amount of approximately 30.000€ cash for a 2008 R8 with over 90.000Kms.

 

And yu are probably asking yourself then why sell it? answer is..I felt in love with the Audi r8 simple as that! this is like when you are married for years and suddenly another women pops up and you´re like..I can´t control feelings

I´sorry darling I asking you for divorce I can´t be without this other women. Know what I mean? So...guys I really need some serious point of views here before getting rid of my "Z wife".

If you need to sell the Z to buy the R8 then go for it. Life is short so live it and dont look back.

Different markets really, so hard to advise.....!

 

Eu18k-Eu20k for a 300zx - that's £15k-£17k at today's exchange rate; so way higher than the UK average.

 

Eu50k for an R8 is c£43k; and 90,000kms is only 56k miles - so very low for a 9 year old car based on average UK mileages.

 

I would say, if you want an R8 - and you can achieve your estimated return on the 300zx, then go for it and buy the R8. The R8 is a great car - the only Audi worth buying IMO, as it's pretty much a Lambo Gallardo. So as Gary says, life is too short - do it!

Audi R8 4.2 FSI no question a super nice car you will be impressed by, a stark difference to a zed of course and you will wonder why you did not do it sooner.
