hi iam thinking of servicing my newly bought 300zx. i am based in coventry and was wondering if somebody could recommend a good person for the job. it would be great if the mechanic can sort out a few minor problem for minimal cost and explain some questions that i may have. i dont mind travelling as long as the person is reliable.

cheers

p.s. how much does the average service cost?

What has the car had done before ?.

How many miles doe sit have on it.

Depending on millage it may need a fair few things or just an oil and filter change.

Best thing is an instant cambelt change if you haven't got any records of it being done recently. With that change your water bottle as it is in such an inaccessible place that it's the same amount of work to replace that as the cambelt!

Oil change is also recommended.

Best place I can vouchsafe is Grasshopper (GPS) in Lancashire. Details are about somewhere. A bit far to travel but one of the few places that have a good reputation still... :)

There're 3 of us up here now, that I know about - yourself, Emero and myself. :D

Try Zedworld for excellent service. Jeff's a top bloke, bags of experience and fair. Check out his website for contact details: http://www.zedworld.co.uk, and as a bonus he's located in Tamworth - which is not too far from you.
