Carbon Fibre Scuttle Panel posible group buy. Register of interest

OK guys so carrying on from the discussions in another thread its clear that a few people are interested in buying a set of Carbon Scuttles.

From initial discussions with the manufacturer we would need at least 5 sets to make this viable, cost per set is circa £200-£220.

These will be "All Carbon Fibre" unlike others that are fibreglass with a carbon top face.

So if you would like to maybe participate in a group buy please register your interest and we will build a list.

I will then get the ball rolling as and when enough people have signed up.

I have a pair of very good condition OEM scuttles that will be used to take the mold from so they should fit very nicely.

I am hoping that the large gaps between the ribs can be improved upon too.

I have one of the original carbon fibre panels and they fitted well for me Craig.

did you need to modify any of the mounting holes on the small piece Gary, e.g. just to enlarge them to make the clips fit?

it seems like they are the same molds he has acquired, so they should fit identically to yours in that case.

No modification need on mine Craig. I just fitted my old rubbers and screwed it on. Because of the bigger gaps in the grill I painted behind the grill matt black to darken that area down.

No fitment issues with mine either. Literally screwed straight on with the Oe fasteners with no fettling required

maybe it was just me then, being a pleb with my awkward finger

although i didnt have enough oem fasteners on this zed, as a couple were broken or missing, so i will need to order some replacements.

can try on the blue one as i replaced those previously, but i need a new battery before i can extract it from its current home, as it wont hold a charge :(

I think it's a case of the earlier pieces were ok but as more are made the mold deteriorated, or got warped at some point.

sorry yes, as Ian says, i will have them with me on Sunday at Japfest Silverstone so we can check them over and discuss the fitting issues i had with the smaller piece being too rigid, and see if we want to make any changes to them, or stay with them as they are regarding the vent holes.
