What is wrong with the guys bidding this zed up, reading the needs doing list is extensive, the corrosion alone is going to cost and all of the service items marked as done inc things like the cambelt where at least 7 years ago ! so that means they all need doing again be it parked up since 2007 or not.

Seriously a UK car ? already rusty outer sills back and front, engine looks like its been open to the elements, by the time its had the corrosion, painting, and engine work done it will already be a money pit, goodness knows what it is like underneath, just to add injury to insult the receipts show it had lots of work done at Ztech....oh my it just gets worse??

Every time I read the term 'barn find', I ignore what I see. It's a term coined to mean something that's been parked in a corner, probably open to the elements that's been left to rot rather than the term it was originally employed for and that was as a desert car found dry stored in a forgotten garage.

'Drift' and 'barn find'. Buggery.

Love the way the seller shows s photo of 1.5k bill. What that's supposed to shows that it been properly maintained?

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! The list of body work will easy run into 4 figures, if you are not doing it your self. Spilt brake pipes, Christ can't believe it s already reached the bids it showing!

Agreed.

More like a scrapheap challenge.

It's a minter! U.K. And Auto! Wow, and the sports black rear portion sill is super looking.

Those who check the people that know Zeds

& there are those who don't

Are the ones who bid for cars like that!

However is it Zeds that sell like this give the Z a bad press?

Stop bidding Gary, I know you want it!

There was one in gumtree Belfast a few weeks ago that was stored in the corner of a garage/warehouse for £1000 and I was very tempted to go view and buy if it was as good as the pics but it sold very quickly.

Always wondered how such a specialist car with such low mileage gets into such a state.

It happens tho. I had a friend who owned a 15000 mile wide arch rally xsara VTS. Unbelievable car with great spec list but it didn't sell at the Citroen garage who had it built. Long story short it got ragged to hell by all the parts guys, sales people etc. for about 6 years and 10000 miles. Eventually sold it at a £15000 loss to my mate who had so many issues because of the neglect it was untrue. Basic stuff kills most cars no matter the mileage. I owned a Renaultsport once and saw an article written by KTEC racing and they said they would rather buy a sport with 150000 miles on the clock which has been looked after meticulously as apposed to one with 30000 miles and no service history. General idiocy and its everywhere....
