Took my Z to the garage this morning.

New drilled & grooved discs, pads & braided brake hoses fitted all round.

Hope to get the car back later today.

Discs fitted!

I bought some braided brake hoses a year ago can't remember from who?

Anyway my garage could not fit them as they are the wrong fittings!

I'm sure I bought off the forum too! They came all 4 in a plastic sealed bag! Not happy chappy!

Anyway discs & pads fitted

This is such a common mistake !! the hoses are very likely correct but the garage will have looked at the standard hose expecting it to be the same. However the standard hose terminates into a small section of metal pipe fixed to the brake caliper. The new hoses fit direct into the caliper, the fitting are different for that reason.

On a side note did they do a fluid change? or at least discharge the final part of the circuit close to the caliper? makes a worthy difference to preventing brake fade.

I had a similar problem to this with some goodridge hoses, the fittings were correct but there was no groove machined into them to allow the retaining spring clip to secure the hose to the brackets, didnt fit them and still have them. Will find some correct ones over the winter
