I'm looking to fit a new clutch in my rebuild, what are your recommendations for a TT with basic mods (chip, boost controller and filter and exhaust/decatt)?

Featured Replies

For that I would go for a stage 2 organic clutch as it would not sacrifice the drive ability. What price range are you looking for? RPS makes nice ones but are more expensive than XTD.

RPS were always a popular choice, if perhaps pricey.

There may be better value options these days, Im a little out of touch with whats in the market these days, but as Alic says, an uprated Full Face organic is ideal for your needs.

I would'nt bother with Multi puck clutches, which you are likely to see on eBay.

not bothered about budget, just something that feels normal and is good

RPS Street-Max clutch, new slave cylinder and a 350z clutch fork. Will feel very nice, light and smooth and more importantly, be strong and future-proof.

found the clutch thread I was looking at before, they recommended an XTD one, are these not recommended now?

They are, it just depends on your budget. Lee recommend it to me as I have a small budget and he said he's had 1 fail in 7 years.

which one did you go for, they seem to have several all around the same price

The one which doesn't say tt is for the na, and it's your choice for the stage 2 or 3 depending on your power. The stage 3 won't be as nice to drive but can hold more power, if you want a smooth clutch with higher power you will have to go for a more expensive one such as rps which have stock like feel, and some of them hold up to 700hp

That looks like basically an oem clutch, if an oem clutch suited you well than this might do but I tend to future proof if you have plans in the future.

Your choice :)

75 quid for a brand new stage 2 clutch???? Yeah good luck with that.

Im running what the Funky one uses...RPS street max..

http://www.importpartspro.com/rpsni30ttmax.htmlI know its about 5 times more money .

Remember if a price looks to good to be true ... it probably is.

I tried another brand of similar cheap s***e years ago. slipped in no time at all.
