Hello all...

Sad news this morning that I need help with - car started on first turn of key but immediately died.

On turning key again it turns over without any problem, but doesn't start.

This morning I was testing a passive tweeter crossover and last weekend installed the new carpet but it started up last weekend no problem .

Where do I go :s it's just sat here for a week and nothing else has changed. No intermittent issues in hebpasy year

Fuel pump primes as usual on the first turn of he key you can hear it fire up.

Guess I will try and get codes and see if it shows anything

Doesn't appear to be going into diagnostic mode - doesn't show any red led?!

Could it be a factory immobiliser?

Do you have an alarm system? Did you tamper with the keyless entry unit?

Aha okay it was flooded

Got it started after draining the system but major misfire on passenger bank

I'm going to take a guess it's spark. Check the passenger side coil packs and see if they make a strong spark.

Can I have a zed like yours... Self fixing optional extra! Lol

The plug will have been fuel fouled Bill, once the heat got to it, it burnt off. Interesting that it did it though, time to check a few things. The ECU temp sensor and connection would be a good start and pull your ECU codes.

The led will illuminate if the ECU has power. It does have to be in diagnostic mode to show the codes though.

If you're pulling plugs off, especially to coil pack connectors, they could be corroded and need a clean. Dry all plugs, rotate the engine with no plugs in and clean all coil pack connectors (both connector and socket).
