It is after much consideration and with a very heavy heart that I have come to the decision to part with J299, my lovely 1992 JDM 300ZX TT Manual in Black, up for sale requiring repair.

Looking for Best offers over £2k and will consider including spare engine for the right price, but don't be shy all offers will be considered.

I know this would make a fantastic car again, as it was before an overexcuberant run up the motorway saw the bottom end let go (no 5 or 6 I believe) as I cant see it put through another winter outside (albeit under wraps) without being repaired.

There is a lot of paperwork/receipts with this car including the original import paperwork.

Firstly i would like someone to buy this car for the purpose of repairing and putting back on the road, It has issues but is too good to be broken in my opinion. It needs to go to someone familiar with working on/ replacing engines and some welding to replace outer rear quarter sills. The engine has suffered a bottom end failure due to the common lack of of oil pressure failure, so I would imagine a bottom end rebuild would be required. The engine was subject to a major build before I bought it including 360 bearing turbos and I have a folder of paperwork for parts and work done by the previous owner, including engine/Turbo rebuild, new wiring looms etc.

My intention was to temporarily replace the engine with a spare motor from an Auto that I picked up, rebuild the original and then swap them back out again, as the spare will require some valve work to make it sound following a leak down test, I have held off this process in the event that I may as well just sort the original out when it was pulled. As it is I cannot embark on this and need to focus on my new business so I have a number of performance spares and the spare engine that may be considered as a job lot for the right price, otherwise these will be sold separately.

The other main work is the outer sill plate in front of the rear wheel has rusted on one side and is showing signs of bubbling on the drivers also, so these are probably best replaced as this is again a common problem. I removed the rear wing due to disintegration of the foam and was undecided about going for a smooth over or replacing it with something similar so currently the access holes are taped up to prevent any water ingress. The body issues are a result of it standing to long and my procrastination! over sorting it out as it was sound when the engine first let go on me.

The engine is 3/4 unplumbed and all parts and fixings taken off are complete and boxed. She was fitted with a number of upgrades including the following.

Samco Hoses

Apexi Air Filter

Mongoose Full Exhaust

Led Tail lights (no comments)

Mania Racing Deep Dish alloys (receipts provided purchased @ £1200)

In addition to this and possibly forming part of a package I have the following.

AMS Manifolds inclding gaskets

Zedworld ECU Eprom upgrade

Set adjustable Eibach Coilovers

Brand new boxed 2" SMICS

Semi Polished rocker covers 85% complete

Lightened Flywheel

Lightened Pulley Set including new Belts

VG 30DETT ex auto engine complete (90K) would benefit valve work

Stock Auto turbos need rebuilding

Please feel free to contact e with any questions or photos you may require, I have posted the above images to give you a condition of the car as it stands now, I'm not going to hide any issues and any buyer must satisfy themselves of it's condition before coming to collect (trailer required) Any viewing is welcomed and I will do all I can to help with your questions.

Cheers, Steve.

I may be able to deliver the car to a buyer subject to location and hire of trailer/ mileage/ Time etc.

How much for wheels and exhaust and possibly suspension

I have no plans to break the car at the moment. I am looking it sell it complete and ideally to someone who wants to get it back on the road, although i have no control on that except to influence it by the price I accept.

I'm struggling with this whole decision still, but £2500 for the car and £3500 with all performance parts and spare engine would convince me.

This is annoying,ad has not even run its course and vultures are circling, give Steve a chance to complete his sale as it is guys will ya.Its enough to put anybody off selling anything on here.

In fairness to the vultures, he did explicitly state that he might be selling the unfitted parts separately... ;)

For balance, I thank you all for the input, I believe Jimmer is referring to my selling the car as a whole and perhaps a package, not having to break it for spares. I have no problem with the spares being sold separately if the car is sold, but if i don't get a good price for the car, it leaves a dilemma that I've struggled with for way to long and that is to rebuild! and if I rebuild some of those parts will be used.

But for clarification, Ideally I would be happy to discuss a deal that involves the sale of the car and all parts with it for someone looking to repair it and end up with the real potential of a much improved performance TT, but in the scenario that someone just wants the car, then i will welcome that interest and will sell the parts separately, acknowledging the posters who have already shown an interest in specific items first.

But the car is not for breaking at this time or any time in the near future.

Only a "might" and its obvious he wants to try and shift it as is complete without going through the hassle of dealing with the " I will give you a tenner for it mob" or the can i have pictures brigade.

A "might" is more than enough for people to start querying specific parts. Had he not said that, then fair enough :thumbup1:

:rofl::rofl:

Good luck with this mate as I'm thinking of dig the same with mine it's a hard thing to do when it's these cars!!

I can see from your point of view the value of the car, but from my point of view, it's a car with rust and a knackered engine.

£2000 I feel is too much (sorry to be blunt)

I'm not sure anybody else will pay that for it either.

I am interested and I'm not in a rush from one so take your time in replying, but I'm a genuine buyer that won't mess you around and WON'T break the car but return it to its former glory and then some.

I think the valie of the car and spares at £3500 is way too high, but thats what I'm after.

I think £2000 is a more than fair offer. Plus a £300 recovery back to my place.

Then probably a £5000 restoration or more if previous Zed experience is anything to go by.

Please don't take offence if your feel I'm way off, I'd just rather cut to the chase and openly on the forum then spend days going backwards and forwards with messages and asking for what's wrong with the car. We all know they hide more problems the more you look, and the spend increases.

I'm going in with my eyes wide open, and trust me I'll make it one of the nicest Zed's in the country by the time I'm finished with it.

At this rate i'll be more involved in playing devils advocate than selling the car, if our engine and interior boys don't sort themselves out, Lol!

Keep it clean boys, I know you have vested and best interests at heart, but I don't want the thread sidelined...i'm struggling for interest as it is! (no obvious possibilities for that please)

If your talking about £2k for the car then there's potential to do a deal but not to include the parts as well. There is no way my car can be valued at under £1k there are plenty of old hacks needing rebuilds that may be better spent on your £5k rebuild and if that is what you want to spend on a car it is your prerogative, I don't believe my car needs anywhere near that to make it one of the better Zeds around.

I am just not prepared to give this car away, I may as well break it if that was the case, as the value your talking about could be reached just by selling the parts already asked about on here. I respect the fact you want to build one of the finest Zeds, but doing that at the expense of giving a fair price for your donor car is not the way forward for me.

I am prepared to discuss any proposal but there should be no assumption by any perspective buyer that I will sell out at any cost.

My offer still stands if you change your mind mate.

I can't PM you, so if your serious about buying it with all the parts, i'll split the difference with you to save the hassle of haggling! £2750

Not yet although I am in discussion with another interested party, but who knows.

Thanks, but I'm not breaking the car, the only parts will be those listed in the thread opener.
