Just got back from Japan (Osaka) and Vietnam.

Everybody in Japan was miserable, talking about having no money! Well, for fcuk's sake, if that's having no money we all need to be there.

If you want to really see no money, go to Vietnam. Do they give a

fcuk? No. Smiling faces everywhere. I don't mean to be sexist but, cos they all ride bikes, the girls have great figures.

Definitely worth a visit, guys!!

Planning a 4 week surfing trip to Sri Lanka in Feb or March.

Only thing is I had more plans for the Z that will have to wait till funds allow!

Did you brings back any Z goodies from Japan?

Yeah....absolutely loved Vietnam....went over there earlier this year. Whereabouts did you go?

My other half (Hong Kong-born scouser....I kid you not)...created unbelievable interest wherever we went...really weird. I guess it was mainly because she is so pale-skinned.

Didn't you just love the way the women 'covered-up' on the mopeds? The hat, scarf, shades....long gloves....and they still looked gorgeous!!LOL

How did you fare crossing the road in Saigon (ever meet anyone who called it HCMC??)....what an experience....especially after more than a few bevvies!

Ni hao Kinace, na ho ma ? ;)

My missus is half Chinese. Anyone who met her probably wouldn't be able to tell that, just by looking at her.

Came back from Hong Kong earlier this year. Was staying in Taikoo Shing just outside central. The sewage smell as you get off the plane is still there but no where near as bad as it used to be back in '93 when I was living over there (before I met my missus).

Apart from that I was in Toronto in March, but funds are limited now and with doom and gloom of job prospects in the air I doubt that I will be going anywhee nice in 2003.

I went to cyprus in may lol :)

I went to israel a few years ago, I want to go back there some time, Im not religious but have an interest in religious history.

Also egypt a while back. I want to go to vietnam and thailand sometime in the next few years, also id like to go to south korea and cuba.

Oh forgot, went to Mexico couple of years ago. Followed the Inca trail and all that, would recommend Mexico to anyone-it has everything you could want there, for whatever type of holiday you wanted.

I was also out in Hong Kong earlier this year - in fact, to see the Rugby 7's (amongst other things) - which was a blast:D

Something about that place that I love (and no, it's not just the food) ... my best mate's lived out there since 1994, and although he tried a short term back in England, it wasn't long before he went back out again, just couldn't hack the prices/taxes back over here, I guess.

That was my second visit, stayed in the New Territories for part of it and in Kowloon for the second part - can't wait to go back next year:D Perhaps England can win the 7's again!

Also been to Prague, Rome, Germany and the US this year - it's been a busy one.

Favourite city ever visited was Tokyo (2 years ago) - what an amazing place - far too many Skylarks of every demonination though LOL :D :D

CheerZ,

John.

I was in Haiphong - on the coast east of Hanoi with my Vietnamese girlfriend, who comes from there. I didn't see another white guy, which probably made it even more fun!

In Japan I was working so no time to think about Z stuff. However I can really recommend Shisaibashi, the entertainment area of Osaka - mind blowing!! Starts slowly around midnight, finishes about 8 a.m. if you can stand the pace. All those lovely Japanese girls wanting to practice their English!

Trips for 2003 as follows:

Jan/Feb - Canada, USA, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia

March - USA, Denmark (great place!), Germany

April - home (boring!)

May - Ireland (Dublin, fcuking brilliant!)

June - home (resting!)

Second half of the year - no idea yet, but it'll be fun!

I've been to SWANSEA!!
