The title might seem like an odd question, but bear with me. :)

At the Coventry AGM this year, everyone was walking around with sheets of paper and pens, marking down the Zed that they felt topped out in each individual category. I got talking to quite a few people and a few of them asked me the same question:

"What about Gary's car?"

Maybe it's just me but, when I think of a really clean and incredibly tidy Zed, I'll think of Si's car. Or Joel's. Or Dougal's. Or AndrewG's. I suppose they're the "obvious" examples.

But Gaz's Zed always seems to fly under the radar, at least in my opinion. And I think I know why...

He doesn't promote it. You have people like me (for example) who'll retorque the wheel nuts, and post a handful of pictures to reinforce the point  but Gaz doesn't really post that many pictures of his car. Which is a rather large shame, because it's an absolute beauty!!

So c'mon, folks... let's hear it for Mr Wilson's rather delectable red Shortie. And let's hope he starts to post some more pictures in the future so we can all appreciate it. :thumbup1:

It's a "quality over quantity" type of deal. I've never seen a bad picture of his car, whereas I'll post anything

Totally agree Si, I was having the very same conversation with Joel earlier in the year!

Always said the single peice propshaft was its hidden gem !! Lol

Jeff

Thanks guys :blushing: I wouldn't put my Z up there with the clubs finest but its not bad. In October 2010 I flew over to Suffolk to buy it then drove up to Zworld to get a light weight prop from Jeff (got lost but Jeffs Linda rescued me) Then drove to Holyhead to get the Dublin ferry then from Dublin to Belfast. It has been pampered and only gets out in good weather but it does get driven hard and in six years of ownership it hasn't let me down.

You're right actually, Gary - those pictures prove that it's definitely not up there with the finest on here at all....

:glare:

Cheers for that Gary! If yours isn't up with the finest Zeds in the Uk then for the majority of us...well, "were all doomed"

I haven't seen your Zed in the Metal, but as others have said never a bad photo has appeared on this forum...I think it's exceptional, even if its been cut off at the back, Lol!

I must agree about gaz,s zed. It's not blinged, just sutily enhanced and perfectly presented. A credit to the club. Always been one of my favourites.

I've voted for it on more than one occasion  lovely Z.

Why wouldn't it be up there with the finest??? Don't be so modest Gaz, you have a highly maintained, highly regarded and highly sought after Z in exceptional condition, I've got dibs if you ever want to sell:yes::thumbup:

After seeing JP's, Funky Si's and Andrew G's I know they are in a different league to mine but nice to get my Z recognized for its condition and I appreciate all the comments. Just need to keep it in top shape for years to come as they will be a sought after classic and we are lucky to have such a Jap supercar in our garage.

Thank you Gary, however the difference is that yours is a lovely SWB - a rare bird indeed.
