Whats goin on!

Just bought myself a Z32 ?

Literally today lol, went to view her today and i'll be picking her up next week.

She is a 1993 Non-Turbo, Manual, Import.

It's got a Stainless Cat-back, BC racing Coilovers and K&N Panel filter other than that its completely stock.

Had the brake lines re-done and the Calipers Rebuilt aswell as a Hicas delete.

I've been saving for a good 6-7 months for the car so im excited to actually start spending money on her rather than just putting it aside.

Excited to start sharing my build with you guys and too see your cars aswell.

Welcome to the club. Starlet fan?

Spoiler may have been fitted as an option. The car looks clean. What are your plans for it?

The starlets not mine, the pics are at the guys house as ive not picked it up yet. Only plans i have at the minute are change the wheels. Will be after clear tail lights but ive had a quick look online and not found anythin so im pressuming theyre gunna be hard to get or set me back a bit.

Im actually picking up the car next sunday so might pop down whilst im out and about in it

Clear tails you can get from our resident lighting guru phutumsch. £140 for all three panels changed to later spec and illuminated centre panel, ask him for any other quotes.

Oh thats not bad at all! Will have to get a set at some point. Im not massively clued up on these cars so will probably be relying on you guys a lot for tips and hints along the way. I dont want to go too racecar or too stance with it. Just a nice ride height and nice wheels to start then look into freeing up some horses

Only thing I would say (not to discourage you), but since you've got an NA don't be chasing power with cams or excessive power parts. Save that for when you get a TT, you can get a tune and increase the responsiveness and maybe decats to free up the exhaust, but don't try to make it tons faster as it will come expensive and you're better off with a TT to start with as you can't just bolt turbos onto the na.

My two cents worth, take it as you will, it's your car after all.

Im used to driving a 100hp corolla haha. This is a my first 'proper' car so ill be keeping the engine as it is for a good while anyway but i appreciate what you're saying

Welcome mate, Nice looking zed you've got there. I'm only over the water so will probably see you at a few meets soon.

It'll be a reliable car once it's been cared for and you service it regularly and keep everything up-to-date. As an NA (like my own) I wouldn't bother modifying it much if you want to keep it that way.

And theres a good chance phutumsch aka Andy will be at Preston Supercars so you could talk to him about it !!!!!

I'll try to pop up as well Ian.

Welcome car looks very clean.

Doesnt look like ill be able to make the preston on sunday unfortunately. I was going yo get 24 hour insurance so i could drive it home and i was gone pop by on the way back but they wont insure me as im under 25. (My no claims are used on another car at the min so need to sell that before i insure the ZX). I will be going to a meet on the 25th of September though if anyone else fancies it. Its at Botany Bay in Chorley i'll post a link to the facebook event page now

Most insurers will mirror the no claims you have on another policy without actually using it. Every specialist insurer I've spoken to anyway!
