That dreaded time of the year the MOT.

 

Usual carnage...............2 new tyres (that's now 4 new ones), window regulator for E/W and a whole heap of welding.....but also some discontinued parts

 

 

Does anyone know if there is anywhere in the world that does the suspension cross members (Part 54401-44P20)

 

Nothing at ConceptZ or Courtesypart (which is usually the last resort).

 

Will i have to get these of a breaker?

Just get a good used one from a breaker.

Agreed. Wouldn't cost much to have it blasted and powder coated all nice and ready to go. They're normally alright due to oil leaks :lol:

I'll be stripping the steering rack off this one in the next couple of days then it will be available. It's from an NA 94 model but surely the same as TT?

I have just picked one off ebay from a good source (it seems) for £55 delivered so quite chuffed.

 

Will strip, check and re-coat as suggested. Looks like some job to get it in though, I assume the garage can do it from the bottom up?

After all that it was the radiator cross member so the link from Alic at the start of this thread is most helpful. Think I will get a new one shipped in, too important not to.
