the TT is the R230 diff - with a 3.690 ratio

the NA is the R200 diff - with a 4.083 ratio

IE faster acceleration

knocks 1 sec of your 0-60 times and accelerates alot better up to and past a ton, you lose 15mph top end but you wont miss it unless doing top speed runs of course

Advantages

  • Faster Acceleration (Lower top speed..but will reach top speed quicker)
  • Lower weight - NA Diff, & Subframe weighs around 25kg less
  • Full Hicas Delete

Disadvantages

  • Traction is more of an issue - Need excellent tyres to make best use of the Ratios
  • More noise and Higher fuel consumption on Motorway (about 300rpm higher at 80mph)
  • Driveshafts are weaker - Only a potential issue on very high HP cars at the Dragstrip

Thanks dudes. So sounds like its a worth while change. My car is a street car but makes good power. I like the thought of more acceleration but I guess a single piece prop might be a better starting point with the possibility of changing the diff in the future.

so are the drive shafts any different? Like can I just change the diff by itself? I've already deleted the HICAS.

No, you need the whole subframe with driveshafts and hubs from the na (and the rear hicas arm)

No hicas on n/a rear end
No hicas on n/a rear end

I know, but some of the suspension for the na is different correct? (as there is no hicas on the na)

just remove complete assembly... bypass hicas fluid pipes(link together or delete from front end) all will fit and dont forget rear half of N/A propshaft.Diconnect hbrake cables and remove rear calipers...easier on ramps but ok without if car is high enough..

Something I'm still umming and arring about. The weight loss and lower ratio seem great. However traction is already the limiting factor in acceleration unless conditions are perfect. I do think (especially considering I just refreshed the rear frame) that the input effort and cost won't be worth the real world gains. It's not like you can throw it on in 10 minutes and give it a bash. Plus the fact if I blow up an R230 I can pick one up for beer tokens, and I'd deserve a medal (there strong as ****) I gave my spare away, R200s cost a few quid.
