is any one running e85 in there car from what i was reading ages i could have a nistune board and map it for e85 but could i also have a map for normal fuel like swap from one to the next, also are the stock fuel line and plumbing injectors ok for e85 if so i would like to run both fuel, also do any filling station sell e85 or will it be a case og having to buy if in drums.

There are Flex fuel sensors which measure the ethanol content of the petrol and adjust the map accordingly, so you could have E85 and not find a pump so the map would adjust to accommodate for it.

And I believe you might want to upgrade a fuel pump as you need more e85 for same power output compared to lower octanes.

I havent seen e85 pumps but they may be specialist places about that supply it?

For my two cents worth...

yes i have seen the sensors but would that work with nistune. were is noel now days am sure this is up his street

I couldn't say, we need Noel or someone to help with an insight, but Nistune's website says it supports it.

Just £3.78 a litre. What size injectors you got Dan?

the one i have are 555

You might need to think carefully here Dan you need more E85 per volume to achieve the same effect. Your looking at AFRs under 9, to do this you need bigger injectors than if you were using petrol. Also you have to change components as E85 is highly corrosive I believe even the pump and lines. There's a lot to consider.

I'm not talking it down as it's got great knock resistance and allows you to run way more boost. But in a country were it's not available on pump because it's not cost effective over petrol, when your buying it in cans your regularity of use compared to the cost input is gonna be poor. I'm not even sure with the 555s you even make more power as the injectors may hit max duty on E85 before you make a noticeable difference on your set up. Have you thought about water/meth injection?

yes you point is very well put its just an idea at the mo. think you are correct here, but water meth yes am all ears give and open to ideas?

It's just a cheaper more convenient and possibly better way to boost octane and cool charge temps. Jimmy has the AEM kit I believe. I've been considering it myself. Pretty safe power bump

well as you know i have fill 3 system gt500 turbos 555 injectors am going 2.5 inch intake now also to get the very of the turbos so yes water meth mite be a idea, but would the car not be mapped all the time to run on it. i wonder with nistune if you can switch maps have one for normal fuel and one for meth

indeed i will i have a good idea of how it work. its the mapping ship i want to know more about

thats cool Boost Dependent controller
