Hi all I'm new on here. Brought my first z32 n/a and got to say well chuffed with my choice to own an Zed. Have a few issues I'm working through got sold a bit of a lemon but hay I traveled to Belfast had flights and ferrey booked so wasn't coming home without the car. I'm making progress though and want it all sorted ASAP. My big issue is with the electric Windows

I have no windows working, iv changed the amp still no joy, motor makes no noise at all. I have power in one wire to the motor and power in one wire to the amp but no power to the switch. Can anyone please help or advise me on where to go from here, the bloke I got it off said it was just a fuse gone but if it was the fuse surly I would have no power and also my electric seats all work it's frying my head and I just want it working so I can put her back together.

Any advise would be much appreciated

Which switch are you using? Just check you haven't accidently depressed the window-lock switch....

No tried the isolation switch on the drivers side I assume that's the only one? When I have removed the switch there is no power in the connector block, anyone know of switch has to be connected to get power. I can only assume it's either both motors gone or switch any clues

From what i recall, the window amp controls both windows, drivers switch completes the loop. Take the switch apart, only 4 plastic lugs and see if there is anything obvious on the board below the switch track and check for dry solder on the pins part.

Check out B48-49 in the colour wiring diagrams

Thank you for the advise, I have checked the switch all looks good. Done some more testing I have 12 v to the amp on one wire but doesn't seem to be anything else live ( would have thought would have 12v in and 12v out ) 12 v to the seat belt and 12 v to the central locking but nothing to switch or motor any ideas anyone. I thought amp would be at fault but I have changed it and it's apparently a tested one so should be working

Cheers

Is the fuse ok (kickpanel, bottom row, 3rd from the left, 15A -> EPS/HICAS)

are the motors working ? (just connect 12v to them and window should be going up or down)

No o haven't to be honest I thought with having power to the amp etc that all that would be ok will have to pull it apart

Let me know if you need to try any more bits in it James!
