Nice to see a fellow Z31 enthusiast! was it for sale some time back?...i'm sure i spotted it on ebay, and did you have 2 others also?...i love Z31's i've got 2 but i'm considering breaking the early one, too much rust! :(, shame they're not a bit more appreciated!

Ps, the wheels, are they Volk racing CE28n's? they suit it!

hey, no wasnt for sale it was on another forum you saw them i think.....the wheels are jap racing jr12's i think fro memory. yes another 2 but sold one. Is the one you may break a turbo manual? if it is il have engine ,box running gear from you...cheers Pete

Definitely less than there are in USA etc etc. but there are plenty about, there are probably about 100 in the club alone.

There's a lot more Z's full stop in Yanky land. Also I'm not sure if your aware but all US spec twin turbos were swb, and lwb were NA. Hence there thing out lwb's or 2+2s as they call them, it's almost a different car to them. Obviously UK spec were all lwb two turbo, when grey imports started a lot of people would of liked to pretend they paid full whack and had a UK spec car, a swb would should this up and explains maybe the lower numbers imported here. As for slick tops they were the cheap version, so at the time if you can have the full spec twin turbo Lwb auto for a good price why would you buy the poverty spec so to speak.

History and the laws of supply and demand have changed this.

Hi, it is a turbo manual actually as it happens!, seems a shame to break it but there's just too much welding needing done and i've lost heart with it!

Interesting, I did know that all TTs in America were swb, but I didn't know all TTs in uk were lwb. I guess when it wasn't a 'classic sports car' people didn't care about having the less common model and went for the most practical car.

Obviously the 100 statement was a complete shot in the dark not knowing how many zs were even in the club. Going to Coventry made me see that they aren't as common as I thought before, makes me think twice about swapping my drive train into my swb.

Japan got everything, Europe got 2+2 TT only, UK until late 94 and mainland until 96. US slicktops were all NA, there are a number of Twin Turbo convertibles which were sold but these were all converted from new factory-spec 2 seaters, not the Nissan manufactured convertible. All their 2+2s were NA also.

Australia interestingly enough only had the 2+2 in NA - same lighting configurations as UK models. I never understood why Nissan didn't launch the TT in Australia as it would have been a great rival to some of the Aussie muscle cars of the time. All TTs you'll find there will all be Japanese imports.

Canada had similar trim levels to the US, but interestingly had the head lamp washer jets found fitted to all Euro-spec models.

Correct, anything else you've seen has found its way in via the import route. There are quite a number of US military bases in Germany and you'll find quite a few came in via US servicemen and were then sold on. There are a number of LHD SWB and convertibles in continental Europe.
