Let's not turn it into another auto vs manual debate. It's certainly got nothing to do with the "kidz". Older performance cars are always popular as manual for multiple reasons. Manual 300zx's are more popular and subsequently worth more, that's a fact. Finding a manual is harder, supply and demand. By the logic you apply the most desirable format would be a 2+2 twin turbo auto, when we know the most desirable is a stick top manual, the "poverty spec" it's simple supply and demand.

You misquoted me Steve....! I totally agree the manuals are more desirable today, therefore currently worth more; all I said was as the Z32 becomes more and more rare, then I believe that condition will prevail, as opposed to what type of transmission the car has. If you had 2 cars to chose from, one being an immaculate auto TT and the other a manual TT which could do with some cosmetic work, what would you do? I'd buy the better condition car - it can always be converted to a manual if I wanted; most probably for less money than turning it into an immaculate example!

The most desirable option was the 2+2 TT auto, 20+ years ago when the cars were new - that's why Glasses and CAP would have rated them with higher prices, back in the olden days. I'm not applying that logic now mate. I've been here long enough to know better.......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

You really cant compare modern day Semi-Autos with older 90's Autoboxes. I have a Semi Auto Paddle shift in my Bmw 335i and I would'nt have it any other way its a fantastic box and like night and day to the Z autobox.

As these older cars become even older, rarer and more collectible the Manual will only become more desirable. Look at older porsches, the autos are much cheaper as nobody wants them.

I know Dave..... I just had to say something positive about the auto...
