Ok, so I have this plug coming from the passenger floor -

But I have a fairly meaty connector on the passenger seat -

The seat isn't heated (there were heated seat right?) but it is fully motorised.

Normally I'd just cut the the plug off and 'hard-wire' it, with spade connectors.

However, there are three thick wires on the seat side and only two thin wires on the car side, which is a bit odd.

Oddly the drivers side is fine, big connector to big connector.

The original seats (assuming they were original) only had a motorised 'power' seat on the drivers side.

Given the thickness of the wires on the seat, I'm tempted to steal power from the drivers side, but wondered what peoples thoughts were?

From what I've heard people splice into the drivers side power to get the motorised passenger seat working.

Cheers, looks like that's what I'll have to do. I am curious about what this little plug is for if not seat motors.

Annoying thing is I could have cut the plug out of my old Zed before it was scrapped (due to serious rot), but obviously I didn't know.

Passenger seat cable for seat belt light, only connected in countries where it is required.
