Just finished another painting of a Zed but this time the Steve Millan IMSA. It fills my time whilst I'm away from the Zed and my family..........maybe that should be the other way around....errrrr, I'll get back to you on that one:surrender:

Luckily for me,my mrs allows me to hang my Zed paintings in the study, mainly because she doesn't go in there and because it looks like a Zed museum; oh well love here's another one, lol. I like painting 300's now and find I can put a sketch down really quick compared to the other cars I've painted.

Thanks guys for the comments.

How do I do it.......patience and allowing a long time for the paint to dry.

I'm getting better the more I do but they do take a long time; the first picture was taken around November, the second around January and the last today.

Time to get on with the next one!

Do you ever sell them?

Yes mate I do.

I've been commisioned to paint a few in the past, everything from a scooter to a truck/cab, as long as its mechanical, I enjoy it!

Great painting, what are some plans for any other paintings (Z related)

Haha. There is one Zed from the forum that I've started, I have a 2 Porsche 911s on the go, and I'm also thinking about a complete canvas with just one headlight and the Z badge.

Don't know if this is a good idea but have a side of a car on either side of the canvas

Say a Z next to a supra.

Idk, just an idea I thought would be cool.

Yeah, this is another good idea. Not too sure about the supra though, although a 240z would be worth consideration.

I also fancy doing a standard oem Zed in the middle of the canvas with detailed sketch around the side e.g. cockpit, engine bay, headlight etc.

The problem I have is space. I paint on canvas roughly A3 size whereas some of the art prints you can buy originally started on much much larger canvas and I just have the room to do them at that scale. Some of the original art that has been painted of RAF aircraft hang in our Messes etc and are massive.

Superb painting..! My lil daughter is an excellent artist and I'm showing her your work as a motivation to get better. Great work!!!!!!
