Very first British Rock band to ever play in Cuba......

Attendance is expected to be half a million bodies at the least !!

 

Visited Cuba several times, and this will be huge for the average Joe....

Whether you are a fan of the Stones or not, the atmosphere will be fantastic !!

Manic Street preachers played there in 2001, admittedly not quite the same headline act, but for Cubans. still a great event.

Gotta admit, didn't know that ! :thumbup1: Not a MSP fan I must admit.

 

Did a wee bit of research on this and it seems it was mostly overlooked by the West Media ?:blink:

 

It seems they were more interested in the Castro handshake with the band. Nicky Wire later said it maybe wasn't the smartest move the band had made !

Shaking the hand of a Dictator. I believe they were paid for that gig ??

So they were the first !! Stones second.

 

It is a beautifull country, and along with the Mexicans, they are the friendliest people I have ever met. Cuba should be on everybodys "to-do" list !

I keep saying it and ile say it again Alan,as soon as the countrys doors get unlocked and the Americans make it another backyard play ground like Mexico they will turn it into another disneyland and fk it up mate...get there now folks before it gets invaded by the West i say:no:

100% agree. If America cant befriend it, they bomb it !!

 

Honest people, its a fantastic country. Folks are so proud of their history and culture as well !!

Britian laid claim to it back in the 1700`s, but swapped it for Florida !!! Go figure !!
