Hello all, I'm looking for the wiring harness to the HKS ALC that I saw on eBay, or I'll just buy an unit if the price is right and it comes with all parts and it's working. I'm really looking forward to obtaining one to increase my driving experience with my Z. My car is a beautiful 1995 NA 2+2. It has the usual mods Jwt, pop charger, xpipe, branch drone resonators, magna-flow stainless mufflers, etc. as a younger man with my first Z in the mid 90s I had 90 2+2 modded with a 5spd and we had a 91 TT modded auto. So I'm looking for a spirited GT that I enjoy and show at car shows.

I just need that HKS ALC... And preowned performance chip. I can't post in classified yet.

Lastly what's the difference between the HKS ALC & the HKS ALC II..? Any major shifting or quality differences? Anyone selling one please let me know! I'm to new to post in the classified area, sorry.

Regards

Ikon

I cannot tell you the difference between an ALC 1 & 2, however I can tell you that the difference it will make to an Auto box is massive, changes are far faster, and the box does not seem to wallow so much, but, if you want your car to be the animal it was made to be, get rid of the auto box and make it manual, I was a committed auto box fan, however after going across to manual last week my car is properly transformed.

If you are going to stay with your auto, then my old HKS may be for sale. I left it with the garage that made the change, If necessary ill email you their details

We've had all sorts of fun rides GT6 Triumph, 280ZX, Porsche 944Turbo, Conquest TSI, Porsche Boxster , C5 Vette, Ford GT, all manuals & my brother just picked up a Porsche 968 club edition now you're talking about the ultimate track Car!!!? but loved my auto box Jaguars supercharged, Audi RS6, SL5 AMG ( used to have a car license and habit before I GOT DIVORCED now I'm penniless but happy with the Z32!). My car handles like its on rails and is a nice way to fulfill my passion of cars and Just a lil more pleasure from the ole Z and I'm happy automatic and all!?

I'll really appreciate it. I can private message you the details and hopefully you and I can strike a fair deal since you don't want it anymore. Let's do it!

Finally bought an ALC, a member from another forum in WI, USA referred me to a fellow Z owner that is parting out some performance parts and read my post. I got a good deal on it and I'm eager to get it in.

The HKS ALC is here.. But my Z32 is at the Detailer in preparation for a car show next Saturday . Once I install it I'll give my opinion of all if any changes either good or bad.

you should ensure you don't overtighten the nuts when you screw the terminals together, and if wise you will mount the control box in the footwell so you can see the green and red lights, that way you can monitor when it is powered and actually active .the loom is short but it is do able to mount it so it can be seen ,

I thought most guys mounted it under the panel... Do you have a picture of mounting it as you described?

no sorry , no pics, however it is pretty much the only place it can go, if it help , I put it on its side ( just beneath the OEM fire extinguisher) so that the LED lights can be seen from the driving position,

Don't forget I have a LHD car from the U.S. & what fire extinguisher..? But I'm getting a mental picture

Update: Installed the HKS ALC and it's certainly worth the few pennies I spent! The car shifts very quick and precise in the upper rpm range without being to harsh. In my normal driving situation it was fine as if it wasn't there. I only tested it about an hour but it was fine. It should make those spirited sprints on a windy road or quick pass a lil bit nicer!

I recommend the ALC at this point and we'll see if I feel this way in 6 months
