Hi guys,

Just bought my first 300, a black JDM first imported in 98, car manufactured in 91.

It's a T-top N/A model.

She definitely needs work:

Both rear arches and door sills

Boot lid needS welding around the tail light

New seats

New spoiler.

Definitely looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in though because she runs well and drives well.

Hi and welcome to the club. Sounds like you have your work cut out, but well done for saving another zed

Plenty of info and advice available here, just post up and ask or take a look in the tech faq section if you arent sure. :thumbup1:

Not quite got the hang of linking photos yet...

You just had the imgur link, but it didn't have the .png at the end of the link

Errrr, welcome to the club mate.....you've got a wolf in your house by the way, just in case you get eaten on exiting your new Zed.

Ah, another shortie in the club. Stick with it mate, loads of help and parts on here, your new Zed deserves a new lease of life. Good luck with it.

There's a significant amount of corrosion with the sills, pics really don't show it but they are pretty much rusted through

Sill replacement can be an expensive job if it's done by a garage. Get a fabricator on side to help or learn to weld mate. Keep us up to date with your project, don't be afraid to ask for help.

Don't rule out the possibility of getting a new tailgate, I have a spare but logistics would be difficult and would take me a while to get to wales where it's stored.

Shorties can look good without a spoiler (and most NAs came without spoilers?) if you would consider just having the perspex strip and leaving the tailgate smooth.

Wheels are nice but could do with a refurb, and why is the rear so high? lol

Wheels being refurbished with my trusty wet and dry and soda blasting kit and elastiwrapped black for now and the rear is actually standard springs, front has been dropped but apparently it was catching so he returned the rears to standard height.

Does anyone know the gauge for the sills and rear arches? Not sure if I'm just going to try and get replacements or fab my own.

Hi Torrent,

Welcome to the club mate. The best place I have found for any advice you'd need. However, you may be able to help me first....;)

Can you tell me if there's any writing stamped on the wheels around the studs please?

Cheers

As in under the centre caps? I shall have a look in the daylight tomorrow :)

I don't suppose anyone has seen these alloys before and maybe knows where I might be able to get a centre cap from? I have one missing :(

That's why I wanted to know, I need a full set of caps. But I think my wheels are slightly different.
