I am going to be saving for a respray as soon as I get the holiday in the US over and have paid off credit card again..... lol

I think the Black Opel but i think it is maybe a bit too orange, so i'd prefer the brickard red, more cherry coloured shine.

That brickyard red looks really nice. Or the ultimate black opal imo

It was done in 2001 and now I am removing the bodykit I have front bumper, side skirts and a tailgate to have all the spoiler bolt holes welded up again.....

So decided to go the full hog and get her stripped and fully resprayed again..........

Then into a new garage hopefully...

Body was silver when I got her....

Right....... Just emailed the guy who sprayed her back in 2001 for a quote to strip her back and repaint her in one of the colours I have above......

I know I will have to be sitting down when I speak to him next.... lol

Anyone know ball park figure for a respray by a good quality professional sprayer???

Well he came back to say bare metal is what he would want to do....

Just arranging for him to pop round and have a look sometime soon.......

No Quote yet........ But the wife just said... "Oh go on ..... stick it on your credit card!"...

Ok this thread is one of my all time fav... but I am confused now, isn´t the Velvet pruple on that R8 the same one as the LP2 stock code midnight purple? I have to say that velvet looks stunning on that Audi.
