Can someone clarify, I am due to collect next Saturday however the Reg isn't coming back as anything on the Gov MOT Check, Car Check and also on Insurance database I have tried putting it different ways to no avail. Hope I'm not wasting my time.

 

Me too, DVLA website says the REG is invalid (at least its not registered to a nissan).

 

If you are expecting to drive it home then i would be concerened, but if not as long as you have proof of ownership the DVLA will assign you a new reg and log book for £25.

 

Looks quite badly sun damaged, hope you are not overpaying for it

My reg isn't recognised by the dvla websites either, their database is pretty poor to be honest, we have a lot of trouble with this kind of thing at work too. But you were right to be suspicious, it's the only way to be these days unfortunately.

Is yours an import? Mine is and doesn't show up on any database. I have to manually type everything in on websites like insurance etc... The rare occasion it does pop up as a 300zx, it thinks its a Z31. Once I got an insurance quote for £61, until I thought "wait a minute...."

Yeah an Import also that may be why then.
