Hoping for some suggestions, I can't decide if I like my current spoiler, now I've had my fun don't want anything too over the top this time round, and baring in mind I've pushed back it's bodyshop date, I might change it,

As some know my cars going gold, thats decided, but I'm thinking carbon 99 spec spoiler? Just to break the colour up a bit, anyone got any other ideas? Or know where I could get a carbon 99 spec, sure I saw a thread somewhere.

As you have a Shortie, you could get away with no spoiler at all.

As for the spoiler you currently have; there are some angles I really like it from and some that I don't. Seeing as you have a 99 Spec front bumper (and possibly headlights), I think a matching spoiler at the back would look good. Especially as I've not seen many Shorties fitted with one.

As for breaking up the colour... paint the trailing edge black, like the old Sapphire Cosworth boot spoilers! :thumbup1:

My $0.02 there, Ash :)

Haha! That's my friend Chris's car!!

I'd personally stick with a spoiler, but I'd go with a TwinZ spoiler. I still can't work out why you'd wanna go for the gold though when it looks so good in the silver. The gold really dates it IMO.

Out of all the Nissan spoilers I always come back to the first one, and the twin z version is a good one

Problem is I like being different, and at jae it was overshadowed by 2 far better silver swbs, so something needed to change, and Ive always liked gold cars and now my other toys have gone and this zeds staying for good, I can modify it for me.

Twin z could work. It is having a rear diffuser, I do like the type 2

Your mates car was my inspiration lol, love that picture.

Yup - what he said....

99-spec is another favourite, but I'm not sure it works on the SWB

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'm going for a type 2 Twinz in March / April. It's a cross between the OEM and the Kaminari, that's another option Ash, Kaminari, if you want it to look different, they're big in the States but there are very few (if any) in the U.K.. It would also break up the gold at the back if you matched it to the back lights like the OEM

Here's a few pics:

If you wanted something more aggressive you could try a type 3, but i can tell Si will disagree :)

I do like those Kaminari ones, can anyone remember what baz had on his black zed? I really liked that one.

Unless you're going for arch extensions, that spoiler Baz had is going to look waayyyy too big IMO.

I will disagree.

Every time I see that type 3, I see this:

I will disagree.

Called it :D I think the type 3 goes well with the diffuser and just breaks up the lines a bit, but if you are going for a stockish shape (like Si's) then I can understand it would look out of place.

breaks up the lines a bit.

....and that's the problem with it. It screws up the continuity.

Just wondering if you saw what Ash's first car looked like

Yes, I've been here for over a decade! lol

Then you can probably understand that some people don't want their cars to look like a melted bar of soap.

I'm not going to bother this thread anymore with the type 3 as some people cant bear it :innocent:

Yeah he did lol at Beaulieu of all places, but that was only ever a bit of fun, the slicktop is more permanent,

I might have to order a type 3 now though just to add to the controversy of the colour, hehe.

But that spoiler you posted looks like it's melted in the middle!

Just incase mew members don't know which car we are referring to.... Really regret selling it tbh, particularly after its replacement turned out to be junk

I must admit, I'm not a fan of the Type 3 at all. I know Ian Greenfield likes it though.

Why not one of the WinFactory CSL lips, Ash? I debated one for mine before I decided to stay standard.

I think the Mission lip looks slightly better, but the CSL lip does look pretty nice.

I do like that, not seen them before, but I don't like loosing the bit above the lights,

Just seen a carbon version of that mission lip... Now that could work.
