I don't think they should score points for a 'race' behind the safety car

The points was won on Saturday qualifying. Sundays race was just to put in the two laps for an official  result.

As the so called race took place around 70,000 spectators cannot claim an average £200 each, my guess is they weren't insured for this, 2 laps, easy way out of a £10M+ payout plus admin

Small print  . . . .

Tickets will not be taken back or exchanged unless the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix is cancelled, in accordance with article 13.

maybe they should claim for a refund of 42/44ths

Apparently it was down to the

Yes they should have just cancelled it

What a race yesterday, well done to Ric & Lando.

Verstappen deserved that penalty should have been harder as the way his car landed on Hamilton.

some questionable antics in that race hey?

Sure was Craig. When Max was told to move over but brake tested Lewis which caused the collision was him trying to get Lewis to pass before the DRS line. Not sure why Lewis did not pass on the inside they say he did not know about the call for Max to let him pass but the stewards have given Max a 10 second penalty for it. Anyway next weeks race is going to be epic as long as they dont take each other out!

https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/12488012/saudi-arabian-gp-max-verstappen-penalised-for-causing-lewis-hamilton-collision-but-stays-second

On the overhead shots, the track looked wide enough to pass, but the onboard shots showed that where he slowed the track actually kinked and narrowed, meaning that it could make the pass seem more risky at speed.

There was no way that Max even needed to consider slowing down that much and certainly didn't need to brake, it could have just been done over a longer distance,

Too much time spent on working out how to get back by Lewis immediately, trying to strategise the drs point, and just wanting to make it difficult, means i think he just could not apply enough common sense to his decision making, because he was too angry at everyone else.

You could see from Joss's reaction, that i am sure Max has learnt all of his selfish, win at all cost, must have his own way, never in the wrong characterisitics from him and the pressure he obviously pushes onto him to try and achieve his own dreams through his son.

It's a shame, because he has so much potential, but has been too spoilt on his way up.

Although Toto wasn't the image of a calm and measured professional either with his headphone slamming ?

I don't think Lewis was completely scot free either, and was much more subtle, but not verging on the dangerous and ridiculous like Max was.

I've went right off Red Bull over the last few months, never take the blame for anything, always someone elses fault.

Max really thinks laws don't apply to him, I will say it's partly due to these modern tracks having little to no gravel traps, so they can go off road and continue.

Max took the “let them race” to a new level, being in front of Lewis he did not care what happened, if they crashed he would have come out on top anyway, stopping Lewis was his primary target.

If he does take Lewis out in Dubai he will still win the drivers championship.

Not sporting of him at all.

Agree Tony his win at all costs attitude is showing him in a bad light and he could be so much better if he had respect for other racers. As for taking Lewis of in the last race then I hope the FIA stewards will get involved and do what they need to do.

Have you seen Johnny Herbert's assessments of Vestappen is the only one who will cause an accident to secure the Title ?

I for one hope there is a good clean battle and may the fastest man win.

Yes I have Tony (its in the link below) Lewis will be very aware of what Max will get up to. But if he does it will go down as the dirtiest trick to win a word championship.
