Japfest 2016 - Silverstone - Sunday 24th April - Updated with payment details

Hello All,

Some of you may be shocked at the title because yes Japfest has changed its venue from the Old faithful (Castle Combe) to the new shiny Silverstone.

Japfest-2016-location.jpg

Quite a few things have changed this year with the booking process, so please read the below instructions carefully. What will be staying the same is that we have a combined stand with the 350Z/370Z club and Z Club, so it should be a good turn out for the Z's.

New Self Service Booking System

Japfest have changed the way club bookings work this year, meaning that individual club members can book their own tickets and vehicle passes for the clubs stand. Please follow the following instructions for a successful transaction:

  • Club members must go to http://japfest.co.uk/club-info to book their tickets
  • Select your Club (Z Club) from the menu and enter the Club's Personal Password - 215.408
  • Proceed to select required tickets and place order - Make sure you choose 'Club Vehicle pass' to get on the club stand.
  • Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email as proof of payment

Club space will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The deadline to book club tickets is Friday 18th March, subject to space availability.

If you have any difficulties, our club support helpline is available on 01959 543 724 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please call this number and do not PM me as I have no access this year.

Club Ticket Prices for 2016 Per Person

  • Club Early Bird Package £48 - includes show entry at Japfest and show entry and pre-show camping at Japfest Rock! (previously Japfest 2) and Japfest Motorsport Heroes.
  • Club Weekend Camping Ticket £28 - includes show entry and pre-show camping.
  • Club Advanced Show Ticket £18 - includes show entry.
  • We're also offering Early Bird Tracktime exclusively to clubs on the famous Silverstone National Circuit at just £30 per 20 minute session, saving £5 when booked before 31st January

When updating the list please put your username, ticket type wanted and when you have purchased. This lets us know how many we have attending.

Final day to get tickets to be on the (currently) biggest stand at Europe's largest Japanese car event!

  • 2 weeks later...
  • Author

Some of the below is taken from the other Z forum so the formatting will not carry across but I thought I should keep everyone in the loop on some general questions. The important bits are in bold.

Right so the bad news first, we are no longer the largest club stand. The common Evo lot has overtaken us :(

The good news is I hope the below confirms everyone's queries.

Your tickets and vehicle passes will be sent out to you no later than two weeks before the event. This also includes track time and all the forms necessary to get out on track.

Anyone going out on track will need to bring both parts of their driving license. So this is the photo card and the paper form which is now delivered on demand via the DVLA website.

Lot of messing about with work but finally managed to get this Sunday off. I know the deadline has passed but I follow the link enter the password etc and it will still let me buy a ticket.

Just hoping someone can clarify if I buy this is it a stand with you guys or would I end up in a general admission car park outside etc?

(First time big event attend so apologies if it seems like a daft question)

The deadline for club tickets has now passed so you will be in the public car park unfortunately.

Just pointing out the admission time to the Japfest event/stands starts from 6.30 am (Castle Combe for example it used to be 6am)

don't know what is the latest you can arrive to our stand...370ad will probably cast some light on this over the coming days

Apologies if it is already stated somewhere, but what time do the stand cars have to be at the event? Just realised I am doing something on the Saturday night, so it's going to be an early start! :(

There will be a time that you need to attend the stand by I believe this is 06:30 to 08:30 but it will be confirmed in your stand information pack.

Is anyone interested In my track time? Session B and Q, still planning to use my stand pass, but not sure my zeds going to be ready, and I don't want it's first outing to be in anger...

When are we supposed to be receiving the packs and who is sending them out?

I've received my event ticket via email from japfest but ive had nothing else and nothing from anyone in here..

It'd be handy to have some info in plenty of time for the event.. Camping info would be handy too as I have quite a large tent!

Are we having a bbq again and do we need anything to be brought by members?

Its in my last post! 2 weeks before.

All the info is on this thread or the Japfest website. What else would you like to know?

This is the first time Japfest has had camping so not sure what you mean by the BBQ like last time? Are you talking about JAE potentially?

Apologies forgot to quote the above from NemesizX

My apologies, I didn't see the top part of the post as I often try to skim through the quotes from previous questions and get to the bit that counts, I appear to have skimmed a little too far on this occasion!

When I referred to the bbq, yes I was talking about the jae event, this was the only event I'd gone to with the club so in my head I believed you'd know what I meant.. My head does work in mysterious and sometimes ( more often than not) doofus ways!

Again, apologies for the confusion..

Update from Japfest today with full club list, there are 113 of us in total! The list is attached to my post on the 350Z forum, unfortunately I cannot host anything here.

"Your tickets and passes will be emailed directly to you around two weeks prior to the show. The tickets and passes will all be individually created to be printed at home.

Full details of opening times, entry routes and club information will be sent out alongside the tickets and passes, but should you have any immediate questions at this point please do not hesitate to contact us."

Hot off the press regarding tickets for the event.

"They are ‘e tickets’ and they will be emailed to you by the end of the week, together with vehicle passes, a site map showing where your club will be located and other general information. Once you’ve received them you will need to print them off."

If you are selling/bringing another car, please get in contact with Japfest first.

whats the deal with the camping, I think I may have misunderstood?

I assumed we would have a club camping spot at Silverstone where we would meet up and socialise the night before , and I could leave my tent up somewhere close to the club car pitch, rather than lug it round the track with me.

looking at the website the camping seems to be at a golf course

has anyone else bought camping?
