Hi guys - my car is across the local garage, Istarted it up and could immediately smell petrol very strongly

They had a look at it and I have a bad fuel leak, it's spraying out from the high pressure fuel rail

What they wanted to know (and I don't know the answer) is should there be this little rubber pipe clamped on with jubilee clips (see pics) or is the fuel rail supposed to be all metal piping.

The petrol is spraying out from where the arrow is pointing. They say they could just tighten up the jubilee clip but are a bit loath to undertake the job if this rubber pipe is a modification/prvious repair as they say they would be responsible if the leak returns and something bad happens

Cheers

Rich

Should use fuel hose clips rather than jubilee

Thanks guys - the garage are going to fit a couple of Fuel line clips rather than the Jubilee clips that are currently fitted.
