What is the best wheel width and offset for a standard car? Please note I will be lowering it at some point though. I don't really want to mess about with camber arms etc I just want a decent fitment.

 

I'm looking to go for 18" diameter but I am unsure on the rest....

Front: 18x8.5 et20

Rear: 18x9.5 et30

How far off are they? What sizes can you get? It's not an exact science, my recommendations are more of a guide. The offset can be decreased with the use of spacers if they're too high.

What is the thoughts on those sizes?

18x9 ET25 would look lovely on the front, just a tad more poke than mine (3mm in fact) which I'd prefer. The rears are the sticking point though, are there no more 18x10 available in a higher offset? Alternatively, you could fit 18x9 ET25 or 30 and it will look nice if you were happy with a 9" rear with no stagger.

Would prefer the flat look to be honest but don't mind a bit of stretch.

So I have to decide now if I want a 9" rear or change my choice of new wheel
