So from the ashes or parts of Purple Rain she will be reborn !

Few more bits taken off the old zed today one of which was my blue front glass.

 

kit cost me £40 and roughly 20 minutes to get the glass out.

 

Well worth the buy as I plan to take the tailgate glass out for the respray too.

 

Then onto the fuel :)

 

When purple rain was written off it was 5 miles away from where I filled the tank so I wasn't for leaving any of that fuel.

 

Tried to syphon out the fuel via the filler hose but that didn't work so I dropped the tank and stuck a hose in the top.

 

30 litres later I managed to get about 1/2 of what was there.

 

 

So I went home and reversed the process back into the new zed

 

Also spy the engine and gearbox that was from the old zed sitting on the trailer.

 

Plan at some point tomorrow to get the hauled off and on the stand to fully inspect.

Looks like my respray has been pushed back to early June now.

 

The garage I get it done at has been very busy and because I lost my initial slot in February I have to wait for a free slot. :(

 

Well it gives me plenty of time to get whats needed now and find a suitable place to strip her down.

I know you pain missed my slot too, got to wait till may for my slot now.
