Never seen a UK yellow300zx before and this one owner, low mileage Z is a nice example and maybe a one of. Unless you know better :)

Agreed. Reminds me of Ford's old Citrine Yellow from back in the 90s. Unless there's a bizarre filter on those pictures, I'm guessing respray.

Unless the photos are misleading...this is not a standard colour..........UK cars came in a really nice 'subtle' pearl yellow as I remember...and only for 2 years I think?!......was my favourite colour!

I hope its just the camara settings that make the colour a bit odd and not a bad choice of colour on a respray.

i think this might be the standard uk yellow, there were only a couple around that i remember, a member called jez from high wycombe had one.

although i did think it was slightly darker but that might be 15 year old memory at fault?

 

none of the pearl effect ones were uk colours, iirc?

 

found this on ebay, but it has the blue missing for uk spec, and shows the yellow a bit darker

Yes it shows it as Sahara Gold EH7 on that poster Craig.

but it is EH7 and the colour of the yellow car offered by Nissan UK in 1990....I test drove one....but couldn't afford it! :thumbup1:

The car is missing the OEM grey accent strip on all the bits it should have one. A respray could be one

reason. That is a very yellow yellow. OEM yellow is much softer. Worth a look though.

Yes they were. For 1990 only. I don't know why as it's a fantastic colour. VERY rare now.

 

However, one was in at PowerZed last week. 56,000 mile UK Z32 in pearl yellow.

.....I have seen a few UK Zeds in yellow too. Quite rare though, as said above; and I always thought that UK cars were flat yellow as opposed to the pearl that was available in Japan (like Sideshowbob's awesome pearl yellow).

 

I also thought, like Si says, yellow was only available on earlier UK spec cars - not like the K-reg in the advert!!

Hi Gaz! Nice to hear from you too. I'm slowly getting better, I was in a coma for 4 months with Anaphylaxis. When I awoke, I couldn't talk/Walk/eat and so forth. Still have the war wound in my throat from the tubes lol. Memory is slowly recovering; walking ok now too and have my appetite back. Very slow recovery process, had allot of medication every day but now down too, 29 tablets a day.

 

I still have the Diablo, hasn't been out of the garage in well over a year, possibly 2. Wouldn't be selling it unless I get Zonda.

 

I'm back in the mood for a nice TT Manual car too, I had so many Z's from importing etc, so going to look into that.

 

The Yellow UK Z I had was a 1991, reg is/was ODZ7447 not sure if anyone on here knows it?

They still have know idea? I was 100% healthy, keep fit, only 39 years old, 9stone, very casual drinker, non smoker and so forth. Basically it's like a movie. Was doing my usual work, normal day, I went to bed that nite, then 4 months later woke up in hospital with no memory or partial memory. Top doctors in the Hospital said, it's beyond belief too. To put it in one line, I shouldn't be here.

 

The testing still continues, MRI scans etc etc.

No, it was done at the factory, that's how Nissan manufactured them. They're not the only manufacturer to do this. Engine bays, door shuts and boot shuts; all inward facing panels are only painted in base coat, not even lacquer.

Scary stuff indeed. Hope they get to the bottom of it mate. Just take you time recovering and no more deep sleeps! Keep us updated on your search for a 300zx and you will find the prices have gone up a lot since the last time you imported. Gio is still driving the silver 99 spec Z you imported but never heard what happened to the silver TT. I still have the red SWB TT but its garaged now for the Winter. :)
