Evening,

So I have recently entered the new world of the 300zx after 2 years of skyline ownership. So far, it seems like a good decision.

So where are the pictures?

My main reason being here is to see if anyone knows anything about the car, it has very little paperwork. But it does have a forum sticker??

Hopefully I can find out a bit of history and what has been done to get to the 426bhp graph I have.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the club Jason.....

.....That's a nice looking Zed you have there mate; sorry I cannot help you with its history. Although being in Shrewsbury, you have the advantage of being close to Lee Dent's place if you ever need any work doing to your car...

Cheers for the advice lads. I can't find anything on this car, apart from the previous owner asking one million questions.

Think I will take it down to Lee for a once over to make sure she is all healthy.

So...... It's been a while but here is an update on where we are at.

Decided I didn't like the black wheels and needed something shiney and chrome looking so I bought these.

Decided that 19x8 et38 were a bit weak for my liking. So I bought these

[emoji106] You should be pleased, she still pulls like a train now!

Any idea what's been done? I've got zero paperwork apart from a dyno print out!

Time for an update.......

Was casually driving around town last Sunday morning and as I pulled up to some traffic lights, foot on the clutch and my whole world fell apart. Rattling, crunching and all kinds of terrible noise came from the gearbox and I had zero clutch! [emoji22]

Back to mine for some investigation. Looked underneath to find this.....

And then this fell out of the bell housing!

Yup, my clutch pivot ball had snapped. So there was only one thing for it. Got the car recovered a whole 5 minutes down the road to Lee Dent at L.A autorepair.

All fixed in less than 3 hours for a very fair price. Top bloke, can't fault him! I will be back for more work soon.

So decided to try and get my wheels to fit to celebrate. (If you are precious about zed a, stop reading here)

Arches, cut rolled, pulled and camber adjusted and I have them just about fitted. It's not pretty, but I can pay someone to sort the arches out when I am happy with the fitment.

From this

To this

And then this

Slightly more camber than I wanted, but oh well. All in the name of fitment.

Before any one suggests over fenders, I don't want them and don't like any of them! The drivers side rear arch is full of filler and has cracked and popped off from the rolling. My clean car seems to have a history as usual!! But it can be fixed!

Just need to get the fronts on, stiffen the coilovers and get the HICAS locked out to stop the scrubbing when steering and I will be ready for japfest on the weekend. [emoji123][emoji41]
