Installed one of my new ip cameras today which watches over my zed.

Was a fairly easy job to do as it was an upgrade to an old analog system I had so took about an hour to get it properly setup.

Done a lot of research on the CCTV market and my preferred system is hikvision so I've managed to blag a 3MP ip camera

which records straight to my synology nas.

Anyways here's a screen shot of the view it gives me :

Not being sarcastic, but what does that all mean starting with an ip camera? How much would a kit like this cost me? It's a great picture! Show us a night one as well.

The camera is retail about £175 each but I managed to pick a new one up for £100 plus postage.

Normal analogue cameras generally have a fixed resolution and are very low quality but a move to

a complete digital system means the picture quality is greatly increased and this particular camera

is 3 mega pixels.

I would either speak to your neighbour about that camera or move its angle so it's not filming thier front door, if you haven't already. I'd be a bit pissy if my neighbour was recording images of my door step without my consent.

They know about it and to be honest they are not fussed as its a bit of protection for there own property.
