Following on from a thread I've been reading through, I'm curious what everyone thinks looks better, a UK or a JAP rear bumper.

The only differences as far as I'm aware are the rear fogs and long number plate in the UK. I'm curious on people's though for my black Zed as I might be able to get a rear bumper for very cheap if I want one, but I'm not sure

I was going to make a joke about rust being a good visual identifier of a UK spec zed too, but I'd be one to talk given the amount of rust that's been chopped out of my import. :(

Even if I'd have bought a UK spec, a Jap spec bumper would have gone on to allow a square plate and removal of the rear foglights. Can't stand extra lights randomly stuck in bumpers just because manufacturers couldn't be arsed incorporating them into the rear lights properly.

uk bumper with out the fog lights !

Jap bumper 100% can't stand the cluttered UK bumper. Even without the fogs, the long plate makes it look so boring, the square rear recess gives it that feeling that it's not a ford etc.

or gives the feeling you have import, every time i see a jap old jap car with a motobike number plate i always think it looks dated and odd, the uk bumper looks more modern the side markers in the jap bumper look like a halfords add on

The UK plate makes it look boring, since the majority of other cars on our roads have exactly the same. The import plate however sets it apart, rarer and showing it was special enough to be imported in the first place. :)

LOL, your favourite car on the forum has all of that and 19" wheels! Can't be that bad!

whats my fave car again ?

yes indeed it is i dont like the wheel size or the rear bumper, but i picked it down to the fact of what work he has put into it and on the under side of the car to, as not many have done this its always the top side and no many do the underside, to the level he has, uk bumper and 18inch wheels and it would be in a world of its own, wasnt a fan of the white but after seing his i do like white now

Yeah, whatever, still can't be that bad if it's one of your favourites. ;)

I'm confused, if you don't like white, the rear bumper and the halfords add on rear markers, why would it be your favorate car? I can admire the work put in to all the cars on here ( even with a veilside kit) but it's not going to be my fave zed.

Actually it was special enough for Nissan to import it in the first place.

Okay, shows it was special enough for people to bring even more over then. And shows it's one of the ones hand picked to be brought over.

its can be my fave due to all the work or coarse it can

I like both in equal measure. If I had a UK car, without doubt, I'd keep the UK bumper. I am happy with my Jap bumper though for its little quirks.

the uk car is much rarer than the jap import you have got it the wrong way round

you miss the point, its like a great painting the detail the time and work thats gone into it, it can be your fave painting for that reason but you may not like the subject the painting it portraying. his car is that good that even with 19s and the jap bumper its still worthy of being the best car on here,

Exactly. So the 19s and and Japanese bumper can't be that bad!

I'm not missing the point by the way. I can appreciate all the work and effort gone into something - it would never make my mind up on whether I actually liked it or not. :)

the 19 are just a bit to big looks out of proportion, the rest of the car makes up the bits am not so keen on dont get me wrong i dont hate the jap bumper just thinks its looks a bit odd with a motobike reg plate on it

They're not motorbike reg plates. Motorbike reg plates are square, similar to 4x4 plates. Correct JDM plates are rectangular if cut correctly. :p

I'm talking about Japanese size plates in general mate. ;)
